Privacy Policy

The short version

We collect the minimum needed to run a membership site: your email to sign you in, your payment through Stripe (we never see your card number), and anonymous, cookieless page analytics. We don’t sell your data. We don’t run ad trackers.

What we collect, and why

Account details. Your email address (and name, if you add one), handled by our authentication provider, Clerk. This is how you sign in and how we know your subscription is yours.

Payment details. Handled entirely by Stripe via Clerk Billing. Your card number goes to Stripe directly and never touches our servers. We can see that you subscribed and your billing status — not your card.

Usage analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not identify you personally. It tells us which pages get visited, not who you are.

Email. When you join, we send a welcome email through Resend. If you submit a question to Dear Queen, your question and the answer are sent to the email on your account.

Your questions. Dear Queen questions and their answers are stored in our database, hosted by Neon, linked to your account ID — not to your email, which stays with Clerk.

Cookies

The only cookies are the ones Clerk needs to keep you signed in. There are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, which is why there is no cookie banner.

Who we share with

Only the processors that make the site work: Clerk (accounts and billing), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Vercel (hosting and analytics), and Neon (our database, where your Dear Queen questions live). Each receives only what it needs for its job. We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.

Your choices

You can update your email or delete your account from your account page— deleting your account removes your data from Clerk. For anything else, or to ask what we hold about you, email us and we’ll sort it.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If our practices change — a new processor, a new kind of data — this page changes with them, with a new effective date.
